PLA Basic CF combines the easy-to-print nature of standard PLA with the added rigidity of carbon fiber reinforcement. Where standard PLA can flex or sag under load, PLA Basic CF resists bending and holds its shape. It's the reliable choice for functional parts, jigs, and technical prototypes that need to perform. Carbon fiber content also improves dimensional stability, keeping prints accurate even on larger parts, all without requiring a heated bed. The result: a low-sheen, technical surface finish that looks as engineered as it performs.

PLA Basic CF Highlights
STIFFER THAN STANDARD PLA
Carbon fiber reinforcement significantly increases rigidity, so parts resist flexing and hold their shape under load, where standard PLA would bend.
NO HEATED BED REQUIRED
Prints reliably without a heated bed, keeping setup simple.
PREMIUM MATTE FINISH
When you're looking for that perfect finish, matte wins. A smooth, non-glossy surface for makers and designers who care as much about look as function.
DIMENSIONALLY STABLE
Minimal shrinkage and reduced warping keep prints accurate and true to size, even on larger or more precise parts.
FITS ANY PRINTER, ANY SYSTEM
From standard FDM printers to AMS and multi-material setups, Extrudr filament is built to work reliably with the printer you already own.
MADE IN AUSTRIA
From the Austrian Alps, every Extrudr spool is manufactured with care, precision and strict EU standards.
Recommended settings for printers with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Max. 50% layer height. Optimal settings may vary between printers and are also dependent on environmental factors.
Our material profiles make printing easier and more reliable. The profiles are perfectly optimised for Extrudr filaments and deliver perfect results straight away. Simply select your printer and material, import the profile into your slicer, and you’re ready to go.

PRINTING & COMPATIBILITY
PLA Basic CF is compatible with all standard FDM printers on the market.
Yes. PLA Basic CF is fully compatible with AMS (Automatic Material System) solutions, including the Bambu Lab AMS. Its precise diameter tolerance and consistent material properties ensure reliable feeding and smooth multi-material printing. Compatible with all major multi-material systems on the market.
As with all carbon-fiber-reinforced materials, the abrasive content will gradually wear down a standard brass nozzle. We recommend a hardened nozzle (e.g., hardened steel or ruby) with a diameter of at least 0.6 mm for smooth, reliable extrusion and consistent nozzle lifespan.
MATERIAL PROPERTIES
PLA Basic CF is not recommended for permanent outdoor use. Due to its lower heat resistance, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and high temperatures can cause warping or deformation over time.
PLA Basic CF is significantly stiffer than standard PLA thanks to its carbon fiber content, resisting flex and holding its shape under load. It also offers improved dimensional stability, with reduced shrinkage and warping, making it better suited to functional parts, jigs, and technical prototypes. The carbon fiber content also gives it a matte, technical surface finish that visibly reduces layer lines compared to standard PLA's glossy finish.
CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE
No. Carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforced filaments, including PLA Basic CF, are not certified for food contact. Any application requiring food safety should use a non-reinforced filament with confirmed food-contact compliance, such as PLA Basic.
CARE & STORAGE
Store PLA Basic CF in a dry room at room temperature (18–27°C / 65–80°F). Stored neatly, it is protected from dust and sunlight.
When stored correctly, PLA Basic CF has a shelf life of 2 years.
