Yes. As with all carbon-fiber-reinforced materials, the abrasive content will gradually wear down a standard brass nozzle. We recommend a hardened nozzle (e.g., hardened steel or ruby) for smooth, reliable extrusion and consistent nozzle lifespan.
Yes. XPETG CF is fully compatible with AMS (Automatic Material System) solutions, including the Bambu Lab AMS.
Yes. XPETG CF is a hygroscopic material and should be dried before printing to achieve optimal print quality. We recommend drying for 4–6 hours at 60°C.
XPETG CF offers greater tensile strength and heat resistance than standard PETG, thanks to carbon fiber reinforcement, making it well-suited to rigid, load-bearing parts. This added stiffness comes with a trade-off in impact resistance compared to standard PETG, so XPETG CF is best suited to applications where rigidity matters more than shock resistance.
XPETG CF offers good resistance to UV, moisture, and heat, making it generally suitable for outdoor use. However, prolonged, permanent outdoor exposure can still cause gradual fading or embrittlement over time.
No. Carbon fiber reinforced filaments, including XPETG CF, are not certified for food contact. Any application requiring food safety should use a non-reinforced filament with confirmed food-contact compliance, such as PETG.
Store XPETG CF in a dry room at room temperature (18–27°C / 65–80°F). Stored neatly, it is protected from dust and sunlight.
When stored correctly, XPETG CF has a shelf life of 2 years.

Recommended settings for printers with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Max. 50% layer height. Optimal settings may vary between printers and are also dependent on environmental factors.
