Lustenau, Austria - October 24, 2025 – Extrudr (FD3D GmbH), the Austrian producer of high-quality 3D printing filaments, has officially opened its brand-new headquarters and production facility in Lustenau, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey. The new site stands as a symbol of growth, innovation, and European independence in the 3D printing industry.

A Milestone in Extrudr’s Journey

Since its founding in 2014, Extrudr has evolved from a small startup into one of Europe’s most prominent filament manufacturers. The official opening of its new facility represents the next step in this evolution - a move toward high-tech production, greater efficiency, and sustainable growth.

“This milestone represents our evolution from a fast-growing company into a long-term strategic player in the 3D printing industry,” says Marco Depaoli, CEO of Extrudr. “With this facility, we can meet the growing global demand while reinforcing the importance of locally produced, European-made materials.”

The opening event, held on October 23rd &amp; 24th, 2025, gathered over 200 guests, including partners, local officials and employees.The celebration featured speeches from Lustenau’s mayor Patrick Wiedl and WKV vice president Udo Filzmayr, who both highlighted the company’s importance for the regional economy and its role in driving innovation in Austria’s manufacturing landscape.

Designed from the ground up, the new headquarters embodies sustainable production methods and advanced automation.
