BUILT TO WITHSTAND IMPACT

PCTG is a modified copolyester engineered for parts that need to survive real impact, not just look good. It combines high chemical and thermal resistance with genuine mechanical toughness, a notched impact strength of 94 kJ/m², built to resist cracking, chipping, and breaking under everyday stress and repeated use. Excellent transparency and optical brilliance make it equally suited to parts where clarity matters as much as durability, while added scratch resistance keeps surfaces looking clean over time. The raw material meets numerous certifications, including cosmetics approval, FDA, REACH, and RoHS standards.

IDEAL FOR

  • Protective Housings & Enclosures
  • Snap-Fit Clips & Living Hinges
  • Drone & RC Parts
  • Cosmetics & Consumer Packaging

PCTG Highlights

FITS ANY PRINTER, ANY SYSTEM

From standard FDM printers to AMS and multi-material setups, Extrudr filament is built to work reliably with the printer you already own.

IMPACT RESISTANT

Built for real-world knocks, not just careful handling.

MADE IN AUSTRIA

From the Austrian Alps, every Extrudr spool is manufactured with care, precision and strict EU standards.

EXCELLENT TRANSPARENCY

A clear, glass-like finish, ideal for parts where visual brilliance matters as much as durability.

FLAME RETARDANT (UL 94 V-2)

Rated flame retardant according to UL 94 V-2, an added safety margin for technical applications.

VERY GOOD CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Holds up against a broad range of chemicals and solvents, suited to parts that need to withstand real-world exposure.

PRINTING & COMPATIBILITY

PCTG is compatible with all standard FDM printers on the market.

Yes. PCTG is fully compatible with AMS (Automatic Material System) solutions, including the Bambu Lab AMS.

No. PCTG prints reliably with a standard nozzle.

Yes. PCTG is a hygroscopic material and should be dried before printing to achieve optimal print quality. We recommend drying for 4–6 hours at 60°C.

MATERIAL PROPERTIES

PCTG offers significantly higher impact resistance than standard PETG, roughly 20 times greater, based on notched impact strength testing (94 kJ/m² vs. 4.7 kJ/m²). It also provides excellent transparency, comparable to acrylic, along with strong chemical and thermal resistance. PCTG is a good option for parts that have experienced cracking or breaking with PETG or other standard materials.

PCTG offers good resistance to UV, moisture, and heat, making it generally suitable for outdoor use. However, prolonged, permanent outdoor exposure can still cause gradual fading or embrittlement over time.

Yes. PCTG offers high resistance to a broad range of chemicals and solvents, suited to demanding industrial applications.

CERTIFICATION & COMPLIANCE

PCTG is compliant with FDA, REACH, and EU 10/2011 food contact standards, and holds cosmetics approval as well. Any printed item intended for food contact needs to be separately certified.

Compliance applies to the raw material, not the finished printed part. Any part intended for a regulated application must undergo separate certification by an accredited third-party laboratory. Requirements vary depending on intended use and applicable standards.

CARE & STORAGE

Store PCTG in a dry room at room temperature (18–27°C / 65–80°F). Stored neatly, it is protected from dust and sunlight.

When stored correctly, PCTG has a shelf life of 2 years.

Legal guarantee. Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods: do not match the description; do not function as intended. Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer: free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year. For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code below or ask the seller: europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees. What to do if you receive non-conforming goods: 1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue; 2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement. Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.
