Looking for a desk organizer that's as fun to use as it is practicle? The Spindle is a rotating desk organizer that spins on fully 3D-printed bearings. No metal, no additional hardware, just clever engineering. With three components for pens, scissors, and other everyday desk tools, one twist gives you access to everything you need, right at your fingertips.
Printed using Extrudr’s PLA NX2 MATT and FLEX Semisoft filaments, the Spindle combines a smooth, spinnable mechanism with a sturdy, premium feel. The rigid PLA NX2 MATT body pairs with FLEX Semisoft feet and cushions for a firm stand and comfortable grip. Use our material profiles for optimal print results and maximum efficiency!

- Bearing: Radial and axial cage set - 2 cages, 16 printed rollers, pins from filament offcuts
Guide to assembling the spindle:
- Insert the TPU (FLEX) pads into the the housing on the bottom side
- Press the cylinders into the cage
- Push out custom supports out of the bearing
- Insert filament piece and cylinders into the bearing
- Cut the filament piece, so that it does not protrude outside the bearing
- Slide the bearing onto the axis
- Slide the axis into the rotor
- Drop the bearing into the housing
- Insert the rotor with the axis into the housing
- Tighten the axis with a clockwise twist. The axis should now be tight.
- Insert the TPU pads into the rotor top
- Press the inserts into the rotor (the TPU pads become the floor of the inserts)
- Enjoy twisting!
