DuraPro ASA GF combines ASA's genuine UV and weather resistance with the added stiffness of glass fiber reinforcement. Glass fiber content significantly increases rigidity and heat resistance compared to standard ASA, while maintaining excellent dimensional stability and low shrinking. It's well suited to mechanically stressed components used in outdoor, automotive, and industrial environments. A hardened nozzle is required for printing, due to the abrasive nature of the glass fiber content.

DuraPro ASA GF is compatible with all standard FDM printers on the market. Note: an enclosed print space is required, and a heated bed capable of reaching 100–110°C is recommended.
Yes. As with all glass-fiber-reinforced materials, the abrasive content will gradually wear down a standard brass nozzle. We recommend a hardened nozzle (e.g., hardened steel or ruby) with a diameter of at least 0.5mm, a 0.4mm nozzle is not recommended for this material.
Yes. DuraPro ASA GF is fully compatible with AMS (Automatic Material System) solutions, including the Bambu Lab AMS.
Yes. DuraPro ASA GF is a hygroscopic material and should be dried before printing to achieve optimal print quality. We recommend drying for 8–12 hours at 65°C.
DuraPro ASA GF offers greater stiffness, improved heat resistance, and lower shrinkage than standard ASA, thanks to glass fiber reinforcement. As with all fiber-reinforced materials, this added rigidity comes with a trade-off in impact resistance and elongation compared to standard ASA, making it best suited to applications where stiffness and dimensional accuracy matter more than flexibility.
DuraPro ASA GF and DuraPro ASA CF offer similar performance benefits over standard ASA, increased stiffness, heat resistance, and dimensional stability. The main difference is colour: glass fiber reinforcement is available in a wider range of colours, while carbon fiber reinforcement is typically limited to black. If colour options matter for your application, DuraPro ASA GF is the more flexible choice.
No. Glass fiber reinforced filaments, including DuraPro ASA GF, are not certified for food contact.
DuraPro ASA GF is rated UL 94 HB for flame retardancy.
Compliance applies to the raw material, not the finished printed part. Any part intended for a regulated application must undergo separate certification by an accredited third-party laboratory. Requirements vary depending on intended use and applicable standards.
Store DuraPro ASA GF in a dry room at room temperature (18–27°C / 65–80°F). Stored neatly, it is protected from dust and sunlight.
When stored correctly, DuraPro ASA GF has a shelf life of 2 years.
Recommended settings for printers with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Max. 50% layer height. Optimal settings may vary between printers and are also dependent on environmental factors.
