DuraPro PA6 CF is a carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide built for demanding industrial applications. Unlike most reinforced materials, it retains genuinely high impact resistance, including no-break performance in unnotched testing, while offering enhanced heat resistance and very good chemical resistance. Reduced warping keeps parts dimensionally reliable during printing. A hardened nozzle is required, due to the abrasive nature of the carbon fiber content.

DuraPro PA6 CF is compatible with all standard FDM printers on the market. Note: an enclosed print space is required, and a heated bed capable of reaching 80–100°C is recommended.
Yes. As with all carbon-fiber-reinforced materials, the abrasive content will gradually wear down a standard brass nozzle. We recommend a hardened nozzle (e.g., hardened steel or ruby) with a diameter of at least 0.6mm to prevent clogging and ensure smooth extrusion.
Yes. DuraPro PA6 CF is fully compatible with AMS (Automatic Material System) solutions, including the Bambu Lab AMS.
Yes. DuraPro PA6 CF is a hygroscopic material and should be dried before printing to achieve optimal print quality. We recommend drying for 8–12 hours at 65°C.
DuraPro PA6 CF offers notably higher impact resistance than DuraPro PA12 CF, including no-break performance in unnotched testing. However, it absorbs significantly more moisture (9% vs. 1.6% at saturation), meaning it requires more careful storage and drying to maintain performance. DuraPro PA6 CF is also not electrically insulating, unlike DuraPro PA12, due to its carbon fiber content.

No. Carbon fiber reinforced filaments, including DuraPro PA6 CF, are not certified for food contact.

Store DuraPro PA6 CF in a dry room at room temperature (18–27°C / 65–80°F). Stored neatly, it is protected from dust and sunlight.
When stored correctly, DuraPro PA6 CF has a shelf life of 2 years.
Recommended settings for printers with a 0.4 mm nozzle. Max. 50% layer height. Optimal settings may vary between printers and are also dependent on environmental factors.
