FLAX is a filament from Extrudr's BIO design range, made from 100% renewable raw materials with added mineral fillers. It has good mechanical properties comparable to PLA, with genuinely excellent elongation at break, so it withstands heavy loads without snapping. At higher temperatures and normal print speeds, the surface takes on a distinctive, mineral-like, sandstone appearance; from a layer height of 0.15mm, no grooves are visible. No heated bed is required, and the material is biodegradable (EN 13432) and approved to REACH, RoHS, and FDA standards.
