Yes. PCTG is a hygroscopic material and should be dried before printing to achieve optimal print quality. We recommend drying for 4–6 hours at 60°C.

PCTG offers significantly higher impact resistance than standard PETG, roughly 20 times greater, based on notched impact strength testing (94 kJ/m² vs. 4.7 kJ/m²). It also provides excellent transparency, comparable to acrylic, along with strong chemical and thermal resistance. PCTG is a good option for parts that have experienced cracking or breaking with PETG or other standard materials.

PCTG offers good resistance to UV, moisture, and heat, making it generally suitable for outdoor use. However, prolonged, permanent outdoor exposure can still cause gradual fading or embrittlement over time.

Yes. PCTG offers high resistance to a broad range of chemicals and solvents, suited to demanding industrial applications.

PCTG is compliant with FDA, REACH, and EU 10/2011 food contact standards, and holds cosmetics approval as well. Any printed item intended for food contact needs to be separately certified.

Compliance applies to the raw material, not the finished printed part. Any part intended for a regulated application must undergo separate certification by an accredited third-party laboratory. Requirements vary depending on intended use and applicable standards.

Store PCTG in a dry room at room temperature (18–27°C / 65–80°F). Stored neatly, it is protected from dust and sunlight.

When stored correctly, PCTG has a shelf life of 2 years.
